Mount Kisco
Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention Council

The Latino Providers is a group of professionals who service the Latino population as well as the larger community of Mt.Kisco. The agencies they represent tackle the medical, mental health, alcohol and substance abuse, education and housing needs of Latinos.  Counseling, concrete services, language skills, business information and preventive health are some of the services provided.

Objectives and Goals:

  • To provide an opportunity for members to network and support each other.  By strengthening the bonds with each other, they are able to provide a higher quality of care;

  • To coordinate with each other to assure there is continuity of care and prevent duplication of services;

  •  Identify and advocate for the needs in the community that are not being addressed.  For example, the Emergency Shelter Partnership program (see Shelter link) and Open Door Family Health Center were promoted by the Council after a gap in services was noted by the Latino Providers;

  •  Serves as a job bank by disseminating information about work opportunities available in the community;

  •  Provide information on legal and community issues.
